Lake Ridge Middle School
Lake Ridge Middle School opened in September 1989 and was named for the community surrounding it. The school was dedicated on April 26, 1990 under the leadership of its first principal, Ronald Keeler.

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS & EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The FCCLA is actively involved in community outreach programs.Lake Ride Middle School enriches students with the middle school Foreign Language Specialty Program, which gives students a jumpstart on learning a variety of languages from across the world. The National Junior Honor Society also holds tutoring sessions once a week to help students who need extra academic assistance in a variety of subjects.

LRMS hosts a variety of clubs including lacrosse, art, and the Wolves Against Drugs group. The school's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Club (FCCLA) is also actively involved in community outreach programs, working with Katrina Relief, Turning Points, and programs supporting our troops.


OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENT & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

The school has an active Parent-Teacher-Student Organization (PTSO) and parent volunteers work in Lake Ridge Middle's classrooms, office, and library.
