Christ Our Lord Anglican Church
If you're in search of a church home in the Eastern Prince William County area, we invite you to consider us.

Christ Our Lord seeks to provide a friendly environment that conveys a sense of feeling welcomed and included. Our goal is that newcomers, regardless of their past church experience, can enter as fully as they feel comfortable into the worship experience. We ask the question of everything we do, how would this affect a newcomer? Our hope is that everyone will come to know a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

If you grew up in an Anglican church, you'll probably find us a bit different from what you remember. We use the Anglican Prayer Book and follow the Church Year, but our worship style is more informal and contemporary. Our entire service, including congregational responses, is projected on a screen, and instead of an organ and a robed choir, you'll find a praise band with keyboard, guitar, and other instruments. Pastor George's messages connect solid Biblical teaching to the practical issues we face in day-to-day living. And we're strictly come-as-you-are—you'll see people here dressed in everything from jeans to suits.

Our church family represents a cross-section of our community, including people from various ethnic, socio-economic, and racial groups. We are young and old, married and single, and have children of all ages. Some of us are lifelong Christians, some of us are new to the faith, and we come from many different religious backgrounds.

Christ Our Lord began as a mission of All Saints Anglican Church in Dale City. We held our first public worship service on Easter Sunday, 1992, and our first home was in a movie theater at Tackett's Mill. We believe that Christians are matured and cared for best in small groups meeting together for Bible study, fellowship, ministry, and mutual support. We call our small groups Cell-ebration groups, and they meet in homes throughout the area on most days of the week. Christ Our Lord has Cell-ebration groups for men, women, men and women together, and for middle and senior high students. There are also classes, family activities, dinners, retreats, and many opportunities for short-term mission trips and for ministry in the community and in the church.

Here at Christ Our Lord, we place a high value on involving children and older youths as full participants in the life of the church. They are Very Important People, and we work hard to ensure that they have a positive experience. Many families have told us that it was their children who made them come back after their first visit. In addition to our nursery program and comprehensive children's ministries program, we have Sunday morning and mid-week classes and activities for our middle and senior high students. These provide a safe and comfortable place for students to bring their friends to socialize and grow in their faith.

Regardless of who you are or where you are in your spiritual walk, you will find that you have a friend and a place in Christ Our Lord. Please come and check us out soon.
