Woodbridge Bible Church - Society and Culture

Woodbridge Bible Church (WBC) was founded as a grace oriented, independent Bible church composed of men and women who love Jesus Christ. WBC is committed to impacting the surrounding community and the world for Jesus Christ. Our vision is for WBC to expand its ministry through evangelism and discipleship by God's grace and for His glory.

The established purpose of WBC is to glorify God. Glorifying God results when God's people fulfill His two most basic commands: the great commission (Matthew 28:18-21) and the great commandment (Matthew 22:35-40). Only spiritually maturing believers can fulfill these two divinely ordained commandments and thus glorify God. So this church will seek to develop spiritual maturity in the lives of its people.

Spiritual maturity is a balance in the Christian's life-style (Acts 2:41-47) involving an ongoing commitment to:

W - Worship - vital worshipping experiences through congregational celebration.

I - Instruction - vital learning experiences through God's word.

F - Fellowship - vital relational experiences through Christian fellowship

E - Evangelism - vital outreach experiences to our community and our world through compassionate involvement and proclamation of the Good News.

Distinctives

Woodbridge Bible Church is committed to:

(a) The expository preaching and teaching of the inerrant word of God.

(b) The plurality of godly men, called Elders, entrusted with the responsibility and authority to lovingly lead and shepherd the Church.

(c) The goal of equipping believers to develop and use their God given spiritual gift.
